Spring Lake High School has announced its annual spring musical.
Students will perform “The Wind in the Willows” in April, Theater Director Shaylynn Chapula shared with the community Friday. The show, based on the 1908 book by Kenneth Graham, features a cast of talking animals.
“This is an adventure tale of friendship and learning that we have all personality quirks,” according to Chalupa.
The roles of Mole, Rat, Budget, Mr. Toad, and more will be filled by students during auditions in early February. The Drama Club is offering winter training sessions for interested students on Saturdays 9 a.m. to noon in the high school auditorium. These sessions will prepare prospective actors for the songs, scenes, and dances required in the audition. The sessions cost students $5.
Many students will be needed to bring the show to life, including off the stage in set and prop design, building, and painting.
