As the school year concludes, graduation is the final big event on Wednesday at 6 p.m. All seniors have picked up their caps and gowns and are excited to revisit their childhood elementary schools.
Before they walk on stage, seniors will have a Senior Breakfast hosted by their parents at Spring Lake High School. This breakfast starts at 8 a.m. and allows families to celebrate together. After breakfast, seniors will board buses at 8:30 to go to Trinity Health Arena for their graduation rehearsal. The rehearsal runs from 9:15-11:15 a.m. This practice helps seniors learn where to sit and when to walk during the ceremony.
After the rehearsal, seniors will return to Spring Lake High School for lunch and a class meeting from 12-12:45 p.m. They will enjoy a meal, discuss mock elections, and receive sports awards. A slideshow of baby pictures will play during lunch to remind everyone of their early years.
Once the meeting ends, seniors will dress in their caps and gowns for the walk-throughs of their district at 1 p.m. They will parade through Spring Lake’s high school, middle school, intermediate school, and elementary school to relive memories.
After returning to the high school, seniors will have some free time until 5 p.m., when they need to come back for the graduation ceremony at Trinity Health Arena.
Since parking in downtown Muskegon is limited, it is best to arrive early for graduation. The event center is located at 470 W Western Ave, Muskegon, MI 49440.
Spring Lake High School is proud of each graduate and wishes them the best as they start new adventures.
