Another Homecoming Week is in the books.
Bobby Neilsen and Mackenzie Judge won homecoming king and queen, crowned during halftime of the Lakers’ 35-14 win over Wayland on Friday.
There was a lot building up to game and Saturday’s adnce. Monday kicked things off with Color Wars, where each grade showed off their spirit in their grades color. On Tuesday, the halls turned into a face-off for Country vs. Country Club, with cowboy boots, tennis skirts, and polos. Wednesday’s Jersey Out had students repping their favorite teams. On Thursday, things got festive for Holiday Day, with outfits inspired by everything from Christmas to the Fourth of July. Finally, the week wrapped up with Laker Out Friday. Everyone wore their laker gear to support the boys football team later that night.
The annual Powderpuff game brought out fierce competition as the girls took to the field on Monday, while the boys coached from the sidelines. It was juniors vs seniors. The crowd cheered loudly as each class gave it their all. The game ended up tying 28-28.
Saturday night ended the week with the long-awaited Homecoming Dance, hosted for the first time in the brand-new field house. With music pumping, lights flashing, and students all dressed up, it was the perfect ending to the homecoming week.
