Luke Marsh is the newest addition to the high school Special Education Department. While teaching at Spring Lake High, he is also balancing the job with being a Hope College football player.
This is Marsh’s fifth year playing Hope football as an offensive lineman. With football practice every day at 3:30 p.m., he quickly makes his way to Hope College after school and has games on Saturdays.
“Balancing football and teaching, it’s hard,” Marsh said.
With the end of his final football season arriving soon, his football career will conclude on Nov. 16 against The University of Olivet.
Marsh grew up on a dairy farm and graduated high school from Montague. He then earned his degree at Hope College for Special Education and a minor in English. Marsh graduated in May of 2024. He is married and has a chocolate lab named Tommy.
In addition to Hope College football, he also enjoys Michigan and Detroit sports teams. Another one of his favorite pastimes is going to the movies with his wife every month.
Let’s give Luke Marsh a warm welcome to Spring Lake High School.
