It’s almost time for the winter holidays in the Spring Lake community! Spring Lake always finds good ways to spend the holidays and spread cheer. This year, you can give back to the community by volunteering and donating to organizations to help those in need.

The People Center provides a three-day supply of food up to four times per year to families in the area in need. If you want to donate food, bring your non-perishable food donation to their pantry during their open hours. (Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 11 am-5 pm). If you’d like to volunteer at The People Center, you can complete a three-hour shift once a month. There are two shifts each Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. The first shift is 11 am until 2 pm. The second shift is 2 pm to 5 pm. Their address is E. Exchange, Spring Lake, MI 49456. For more information go to their website.

Toys for Tots collects new toys for children in our community in need. You can drop off your new toys at any of the locations listed at this website. You can also volunteer email your name and contact information to [email protected]. Toys will be distributed on December 17, 2022. Find more information on their website.

The 92.1 WGHN/Pantenga’s Cleaners Coat Drive collects coats, jackets, snow pants, and snow suits. All of these goods are donated to local charities in our community. Donations will be accepted through Sunday, November 27, 2022. You can drop off donations at their locations at this website,

When donating to organizations like these (and many more) around our community, Spring Lake can truly show off the glory of giving back to others this holiday season. Even small donations can make a huge difference in someone’s life. Let’s make this the best holiday season ever!
