Spring Lake Interact club will be putting on a brain break on December 10 during seminar. The purpose of this break is to raise money for their Christmas donation.
During this brain break, students can join a trivia game with hot cocoa for $5. Interact is taking cash or Venmo, and tickets will be sold at lunches that week and during the brain break. Students will also have the choice to color, watch a Christmas movie, or study in assigned rooms.
Interact hopes to raise a reasonable amount of money to buy Christmas gifts for an organization in need. In the past they have gone shopping as a club and bought Christmas gifts for families. This year they plan to either get gifts for a family, foster kids, or Muskegon Rescue Mission.
“The brain break is a great way to raise money for helping people for the holidays!” says Lauren Meigs, Interact club Vice President.
For families struggling during the holidays, it can be uplifting to be able to have support from the community. Donating can be very impactful and bring Christmas joy.
