Getting ready for college can be a very stressful time in a person’s life, especially for seniors.
Over the past few months, Spring Lake’s seniors have been urgently preparing to hear the news from colleges they’ve applied for. Whether it’s a dream school, the school with the best sports teams, the easiest option, or a school with an amazing program for their major, making the final decision is one of the hardest choices a senior can make.
A way to make this decision easier would be to make a list of the student’s top priorities in finding the best school for them. This could include campus life expectations, sports teams, dorm quality, graduation rates, job placement, and many other important details.
There are also many fun things about the college journey as a senior. Seniors get to plan their graduation parties, find fun ways to decorate dorms, wear merchandise of their top choices, look at the millions of dollars that FAFSA blesses us with, and hang out with friends before everyone starts their paths in adulthood.
Senior year is a whirlwind of emotions and a ton of it is definitely stressful but the goal is to find the positive despite the challenges. Be with your friends and make the best of the last year of high school.
If you see a senior, wish them luck and ask for any advice for when it’s your turn to things about life beyond high school.
