The E-Sports club just finished off one of their strongest seasons yet, making it to the playoffs for the second year in a row.
It was a season full of passion, dedication, and perseverance, but most importantly, it was an opportunity to create new connections and bonds while also gaining lifelong friendships. The E-Sports club is a competitive gaming team that plays games like Fortnite, Valorant, and so much more. It’s home to many talented and compassionate students that represent themselves all over the state. These competitors compete with other E-Sports teams from all over Michigan through the Michigan High School E-Sports League (MSHEL).
“Our players are passionate, competitive, and committed to improving, and it’s been exciting to watch them grow both as teammates and as individuals,” says club advisor, Adam Reed.
The students in this club have done an excellent job overcoming obstacles and have kept up the positivity all the way through. These students have juggled many responsibilities, such as AP classes, other clubs, and sports but still managed to perform to the best of their abilities.
“One of the biggest challenges this season was coordinating our schedule with the already busy lives of high school students. MHSEL sets our schedule every year and we don’t really have a say when our matches are,” explains Reed.
The fun is never ending in this club, with learning and growing whilst still having fun and competing. Even though the fall season has sadly come to an end, there will be a brand new opportunity to join in the spring!
Contact Mr. Reed if you are interested in the opportunity of being a part of the E-Sports team.
